The Firm is a superb Thriller that stays true to genre tenants and emphasizes story and characterization, the picture deriving its action from suspense and dialogue rather than cheap thrills that would lessen, rather than enhance, the innate intensity and style on which the movie thrives. Director Sydney Pollack does everything right, finding a perfect pacing that easily overcomes an extended runtime while framing the action so as to allow the story and thematic structure -- not flashy camerawork -- to dominate. The picture is supported by one of the absolute best casts ever assembled, all to a player turning in seamless performances. This is a rare film that's every bit as good as the novel on which it is based; that's a testament both to John Grisham's storytelling and Sydney Pollack's vision. Paramount's Blu-ray release of The Firm could certainly use more extras, but the technical quality is up to par. Highly recommended.

Yo soy fan de las peliculas de John Grisham asi que esta la tengo en DVD. El Informe Pelicano me decepciono un poco que la pista en español esta solo en mono pero esta se ve que va a tener una calidad de imagen increible y una pista en español remasterizada a 5.1 como acostumbra Paramount. Otras de Grisham que espero salgan pronto en Blu-Ray son Runaway Jury y The Client, excelentes thrillers.

Asi se le llamo en la madre patria aca en mexico fue "la firma", yo soy fan del autor Jonh Grisham, tengo casi todos sus libros, y varios de ellos, por no decir muchos se han hecho peliculas holliwodenses los que recuerdo, la firma con tom cruise, informe pelicano con julia roberts y denzel washington, tiempo de matar con Samuel L. Jackson, tribunal en fuga con jonh cuzack y rachel weize. Su genero se le denomina triller legal, involucra abogados y cuestiones morales, éticas grandes herencias, etc.

A los que les gusta el genero tanto sus novelas como las peliculas son garantia de entretenimiento.
